The State Government vide Notification No. FMP.13/85/104 Dated Dispur, the 29th July 2006, ordered that, the families of the state Government employees, Home Guards, personnel of Army and Central Para Military Forces (CPMF) engaged in counter insurgency operation in the State if killed while on duty or in connection with discharge of duty, as also the families of the Driver, Handyman and other employees of vehicles requisitioned by competent authority for law and order and other emergency duty, if killed due to attack of extremists or antisocial elements and families of State Government employees killed due to hazardous nature of duty, shall be paid ex-gratia grant at the rates mentioned against each category below :


Category

State Govt. Employees engaged in hazardous occupation in departments like Forests, Civil Defence Flood Control or any other Departments. Rs. 5.00 lakhs Rs. 2.00 lakhs Rs. 2.00 lakhs

The State Government also provides that the State Government employees, Home Guards, personnel of Army and Central Para Military Forces (CPMF) engaged in counter-insurgency operation in the State if injured while on duty or in connection with discharge of duty, as also the Driver, Handyman and other employees of vehicles requisitioned by competent authority for law and order and other emergency duty, if injured due to attack of extremists or antisocial elements, and State Government employees injured due to hazardous nature of duty, shall be paid ex-gratia grant at the rates mentioned against each category below: -

  • In addition to above, families of the Government employee killed while engaged in discharge of duties or for reasons connected with discharge of duties shall be entitled to ex-gratia grant of Rs.1.00 lakh for Gazetted Government employees and Rs.50,000/- for non-gazetted Government employees, as prescribed in Finance (APF) Department Office Memorandum No. FMP.13/ 85/ 6, dated 14-06-85.

  • This modifies Finance Department Office Memorandum No.FM 48/2002/2, dated 20-11-2002 to the extent mentioned above and supersedes all other previous Office Memorandums issued regarding sanction of ex gratia grant to the above mentioned categories.

  • Except specifically provided in the Delegation of Financial Power Rules, 1999, all sanction for ex-grant will be issued by Administrative Department with concurrence of Finical (EC-II) Department.
